Chapel of Sorrows

I knelt in the Chapel of Sorrows
Where the lost souls come to pray
I listen the to whispers that swirled
Around the altar like the autumn leaves

So much sadness, sorrow and tears
I felt my heart of stone crumble with
The compassion that it felt to those
Who sorrowed within the chapel walls

‘Chapel of Sorrows’ is a poem with deep feeling…the emotion of your writing absorbs me when I read the words…I feel the sorrow of my own life as it once was but also feel the letting go of the lost nature my soul has been…I know the sadness and the tears I have known so well but also know the compassion I have in my own heart for myself and for those who bring the wreckage of their own being before their creator…your lines have a feeling of sadness as I think of my own life but also bring to me the stronger feeling of hope as I put myself before She who is the Mother of us all…I am profoundly moved by this poem, Ceol…I can explain no further.

    With love…
