Lost Souls

I have travelled a long journey
Away from all I knew
The path has lead me
Far from home and kin

I am lost without my
Kind to guide me on my way
No music to warm my heart
No love to caress my soul

I sing now the lament
Of all the lost memories
As I travel my lonely road

    ‘Lost Souls’ touches me very deeply in a very special way…I read this poem and it rings through my soul in a manner I am at a loss to describe with words…this poem moves an emotion within me known between us and understood and enjoyed by so few…you write “I am lost without my kind to guide me on my way”…to me these are the most touching words of all your poetry…they speak so gently of who we are and who we have become…this poem is a most beautiful writing of caring and love and nurturing…it is the writing of a special relationship…reading ‘Lost Souls’ brings a feeling I know and yet cannot describe.
