Lament

Come hear the lament
Of the working class

How our government
Has betrayed and
Sold us out

The big companies and
Other countries dictate
Policy to us

Rise up my brothers
And sisters against
This tyranny

Protest and march
For our workers’ rights

    Your poem ‘Lament’ is the true writing of inspiration in and for the cause of social equality…reading your lines my years melt away and I feel as I did when I was a young man ready to rise in protest and march for the rights of the working class…thank you for this poem Ceol.
