Pretension
So you think you know it all
Looking down on the rest of us
There is nothing wrong with any one,
It is just your idea of pretension.
You have to have everything better
Larger, more expensive
But can you look in the mirror
And really see who you are?
Be a snob it you must
But just remember, never
Insult a poet, then you will
Really see what pretension does.

In ‘Pretension’ what a solid and true statement you make…to never insult a poet…those who are pretentious toward us will indeed learn what pretension can be…your poem is a good message to those who think they are better.
